The Omaha Beef professional indoor football team announced that they have parted ways with head coach Rayshaun Kizer. The Beef have immediately began a search for a new head coach, as they enter the 2024 season. The Omaha Beef released the following statement from owner Ricky Bertz.
"We appreciate the efforts and contributions by Coach Kizer, that resulted in the achievements and success that we enjoyed on the football field. Coach Kizer was, without question, part of our success working with other coaches, staff members and players, during the 2023 season, that resulted in our second league championship and first undefeated season. Ultimately, decisions like these are never easy, nor do I take them lightly. Especially considering the number of people that they impact. Regardless, I have a responsibility to the organization, staff, players, fans and supporters to make decisions that I believe are in the best interest of the Omaha Beef, not only for the short term, but long term. As always, our goals are to compete for league championships year after year. As we enter our 25th year anniversary season, we are committed to operate in a manner and way that will allow us to be here in the community for another 25 more years and beyond".
More information on the upcoming season including player signings, league updates and news, along with the results of the Beef's new head coach will be announced in the coming weeks.
