After a two-week bye, the 2-0 Omaha Beef are looking to extend their winning streak to 15 games as they host the Idaho Horsemen at Liberty First Credit Union Arena Friday night. The Beef were supposed to play last Saturday in Enid, Oklahoma against the Oklahoma Flying Aces, but the game was postponed until May 25th. The Horsemen are 0-2 in National Arena League play, losing to the Carolina Cobras twice. Idaho defeated the Las Vegas Kings 59-6 on Monday in a non-league game.
The Beef offense led by quarterback Tommy Armstrong continues a strong run game as they have averaged 121 yards per game, 37.5 yards better than the second ranked team. Armstrong, who leads the team and NAL with 136 yards and six rushing touchdowns, averages 68 yards per game. Tabyus Tabor is second on the team with 71 yards (35.5 avg/game).
