Beef get first win with a 52-18 blowout of the Bulls

The Omaha Beef picked up their first victory of the season while crushing the Dallas Bulls 52-18 Saturday night at Liberty First Credit Union Arena. The Beef controlled the entire game as the offense and defense put points on the board. Giovanni Sanders threw six touchdown passes, Brandon Munoz had two safeties, and Chris Perry recovered a fumble in the endzone as the Beef racked up 235 yards of total offense compared to the Bulls 113 yards.
Dallas’ first play set the tone for the entire game: a high snap rolled into the end zone and was recovered by Omaha’s Chris Perry. On the Bulls’ third drive, Brandon Munoz pressured quarterback Samuel Seward into intentional grounding penalty in the end zone for a safety. The ensuing possession saw Giovanni Sanders connected with Dequan Dudley, and the Beef led 16-0 after the first quarter.
The Bulls got on the scoreboard in the second quarter when running back Dijon Richard, the first of his two touchdowns, on a one-yard run. The Beef came right back as Sanders hit Devanaire Conliffe on a 35-yard pass and then with time running out in the first half hit Dudley on an 11-yard strike as Omaha led 23-6 at halftime.
The only score of the third quarter came when Sanders hit Lorenzo Thompson with a 34-yard touchdown pass with 7:56 remaining and after Chase Contreraz extra point kick the Beef lead 37-6. Contreraz finished the game making six of his seven extra points kicks.
The fourth quarter saw Sanders hit Conliffe twice for touchdowns, of 23 yards and 20 yards. Conliffe ended the game with five receptions for 116 yards and three touchdowns. Dudley finished with two receptions for 46 yards and two touchdowns. Sanders finished completing 10 of his 15 passes for 201 yards with six touchdowns and one interception.
Omaha final points came when Munoz got his second safety of the night with 2:18 remaining in the game. Munoz finished the game with six tackles and had three sacks on the night. Jaylen Perkins and Jaylen Johnson each had five tackles. Johnson and Jayshawn Washington combined for another sack. Chris Perry added an interception for the Beef.
Seward’s scored a one-yard rushing touchdown for the Bulls as time expired. Seward went 13 of 29 for 114 yards while throwing one touchdown and one interception and only gained one yard rushing on two carries. Dijon Richard had nine carries for 12 yards and five receptions for 43 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown reception. Linebacker Adyn Schwarzer made seven tackles while getting a half sack. Devery Smith had five tackles and 1.5 sacks.
The Beef will hit the road again and will play at Amarillo next Saturday.
