Beef claim two player of the week awards
Two Omaha Beef players earned player of the week awards from the National Arena League today for their part in the week six 63-14 win over the Idaho Horsemen Saturday night at Liberty First Credit Union Arena.
Tommy Armstrong was named Offensive Player of the Week as he ran for five touchdowns and threw for another. Armstrong finished the night with 10 rushes for 74 yards and the five scores while going 9 for 14 passing for 111 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Cameron Hunt earned Defensive Player of the Week. Hunt made nine tackles with one sack, two tackle for loss, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception and one quarterback hurry.
The Beef return to action May 4th as they host the Oklahoma Flying Aces at Liberty First Credit Union Arena with kickoff slated for 6:30pm.
