Beef claim two CIF Player of the Week awards

Beef defensive lineman Jayshawn Washington has been named Defensive Player of the Week by the CIF for his week 3 performance.  Jayshawn registered 4 tackles, 1 sack, and a fumble recovery for a defensive touchdown in Omaha's 68-15 victory at SW Kansas.  Washington is the team's leading tackler with 12 and leads the team with 2 sacks in two games this season.

Wide receiver / kicker returner Dre'Sonte Dorton was named Special Teams Player of the Week.  Dre'Sonte returned 3 kickoffs for 106 yards and two touchdowns.  Dorton also added 1 carry for 4 yards and caught a 5-yard touchdown pass.

Omaha (2-0) has a bye week before heading to Topeka to take on the Tropics at Stormont Vail Events Center on April 1st.
