The Beef stormed into United Wireless Arena and posted a 68-15 victory over the SW Kansas StormOmaha used a strong defensive effort to shut down the Storm in the second half as the Beef put up 54 unanswered points. 

The Storm fumbled the opening kickoff, and it took three plays for the Beef to score on a 5 yard catch by Dre’Sonte Dorton. The 2-pt conversion run by Jailin Singleton was good to make it an 8-0 Beef lead. The Storm came back with a 10-yard pass from Tahj Thomas-Tolbert to Torrance Carr-Young and a 3-point conversion pass from Tolbert to Zori Davis and the Storm led 9-8. On the ensuing kickoff Omaha’s Dre’Sonte Dorton took it 45 yards to regain the lead. The Storm once again came back and a 12-yard pass from Tolbert to Carr-Yong as they regained the lead 15-14 with 14 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Once again it was  Dre’Sonte Dorton taken the kickoff 40 yards to the house and the Beef never looked back. 

The Beef’s defense scored two touchdowns, had four interceptions, recovered three fumbles, and held the Storm to 102 total yards of offense. Beef defense lineman JayShawn Washington recovered a fumble in the endzone, and defense back Dreko Statham returned one of his two interceptions 19 yards for a touchdown. Ponce Deleone and Aaron Jackson had interceptions for the Beef. Washington and Tamar Heart registered sacks for Omaha, while Heart was the leading tackler with 7. 

The Beef offense was only on the field for just over 23 minutes, but quarterback Tommy Armstrong ran for 53 yards on five carries and three touchdowns while throwing for another three. Dorton, Gourney Sloan, and Devanaire Conliffe caught touchdown passes while Armstrong completed 5 of 8 passes. The Beef ran only 24 offensive plays in the game. 

Tahj Thomas-Tolbert went 15-31 for 75 yards while throwing two touchdown passes and four interceptions for the Storm. Billy Reagins carried the ball 11 times for 28 yards. 

The Beef (2-0) travel to Topeka, KS on April 1st to take on the Topeka Tropics (0-1)Topics travel to Billings on 3/20.
