Armstrong and Deleon named week 9 Players of the Week
Two Omaha Beef players claimed Player of the Week awards for their performance in the 33-6 win over the Sioux City Bandits last Saturday.
Tommy Armstrong ran the ball 13 times for 39 yards and two touchdowns and completed 13 passes for 142 yards and another two touchdowns to claim his third offensive player of the week award. Armstrong now has rushed 45 times for 252 yards and 13 touchdowns and leads the NAL in rushing yards and touchdowns.
Ponce Deleon had five tackles and one interception as the defense held Sioux City to six points and only 99 yards of total offense. Deleon leads the Beef with 34 tackles and has one forced fumble and two interceptions in the 2024 season.
Omaha travels to Sioux City this Saturday in a rematch of last week's game for the 52nd meeting between the two teams.
